- Basic Infrastructure Construction & Maintenance Industry like Buildings, Complexes & Multiplexes, Roads & Bridges, Railways, Docks & Harbours, Airports, Irrigation Structures, Water supply & Sanitary systems etc
- Specialized fields of Foundation constructions, Water & Air pollution and control, Water resource management, Quality Control Management, Remote sensing and Geo-graphic Information Systems.
- Interdisciplinary fields like Software development, GIS and Remote Sensing Systems development, Information System development etc.
The department provides avenues for the student to qualify himself/herself as a good civil engineer. Besides imparting classroom training, the department has the policy of arranging technical visits to give exposure to the practical field. The students are encouraged to do projects in industries to acquaint them with practical problems.
